Lips: Nudestix Lip and Cheek Pencil
--- You can use this for your lips and cheeks for a red tint. My fave shade is Mystic, I got it in my May Ipsy Glambag. But you can use any lipstick for this. :) ---

my new ipsy membership
two months ago in June I suscribed to Ipsy as a birthday present from my mom.. i've gotten three bags so far and i'm really happy (: basically a couple of days after the month starts, you get to see what you get in your 'glam bag', which is the most exciting part for me! all the samples and products you get are based off of a quiz you take and can re-take if you change your mind on what you like. sometime in the middle of the month you will receive your bag. to be honest I haven't always gotten amazing things or products that I really use, but at the same time I get products that I really love. sometimes I get full size products instead of samples, which totally makes it worth it. my june bag, which was my first, wasn't really that great.. I got the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer , the it Cosmetics eyebrow pencil, Aurora nail polish, eye gel pads, and Tre'StiQue eyeshadow crayon. I liked the Primer because I know it's so popular but i never use primers so I rarely pick it up. But I guess it's there for whenever I need one. I LOVED the eyebrow pencil but it broke the second day (it was my fault).. the nail polish I also really liked but really did not like the eye gel pads. the eyeshadow crayon is okay but nothing special. My July and August bag were a lot more successful though.

top 5 favorite drugstore products
1) Maybelline fit me concealer I like all of the Fit Me products but I really like the concealer because of it's consistency, and how nice it looks especially for under eyes but I use it for my whole face
2) Covergirl Flamed Out mascara i've been using this mascara for a while and literally have 0 complaints.. its a voluminizing mascara but it lengthens my lashes soooo much. It also last a really long time!
3) Rimmel Stay Matte Powder This is a pretty popular powder and i understand why. It does a really good job to mattify your face and I like to use it to brighten my under-eyes. I don't have anything too special about it since I haven't used too many powders but I have 0 complaints.
4) Rocket Volume Express Mascara (Maybelline) I really like this mascara. It's super lengthening and voluminizing. the waterproof one is so amazing because usually a waterproof mascara is only used for the fact of it being waterproof, but I use this on days I wont even be close to water. its amazing by itself, being waterproof is just a huge plus.
5) Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Wipes I just started using these and I'm already on my third purchase. i have really sensitive and dry skin but these are really moisturizing and don't sting my face like other ones do. They can take eyeshadow off in a swipe.

Make up Tip #2- eye lash curler tips
Eye lash curlers do a great job on their own, but here's some tips:-)
1) Instead of curling once and done, move it around to get a more curled look.
2) If you don't feel like your eyelashes are curled enough after mascara, don't be afraid to curl them again even when mascara is already applied. some people actually prefer this method.
3) More expensive isn't always better. they are all structured pretty much the same, you are the one applying the pressure. the only difference would be better packaging. but if you want to save money, know that a $10 eye lash curler and a $2 one are pretty much the same.
4) Curling your eyelashes after an eye makeup look will clean up the look compared to just applying mascara.
5) Curl closer to your lid at first for about 3 seconds and repeat closer to the end of your lashes for another 3 seconds.

Today I'll compare the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.
Ill just go ahead and say that I would prefer buying the Maybelline, but not because I prefer Maybelline products or that I'm very biased, but the facts just leave someone who prefers things like me to want to buy the Maybelline fit me concealer instead. You may be different. I will divide this in four categories; packaging, quantity, quality, and the most decision making of all, price. I know I should've made five so that one wins over the other, but as I said, there is no actual winner. Although in my opinion Maybelline is the best dupe for the Nars radiant creamy concealer there is in drugstores. But which would you rather buy? That's up to you and which one suits you better. I also couldn't come up with five categories but the previous explanation sounds like I thought about it more than I actually did. I hate long paragraphs so lets get started.
PACKAGING
Now I will say that the Nars concealer definitely has better packaging, as you would expect from any high end make up brand. It has a glass or glass like tube that is actually bigger than the Maybelline concealer. The Maybelline concealer print does tend to smudge off after handling it after a while.
QUANTITY
So you know how I said the Nars concealer has a bigger tube than Maybelline? Well thats true, but Maybelline has a bigger quantity than the Nars. Not by much, but Maybelline has .27 fl oz and Nars has .22 fl oz, so don't be fooled. But I do think this is a minor factor knowing that it is only .5 fl oz difference, but hey, every fl oz counts!
QUALITY
Both concealers have an amazing quality. they both apply quite the same. Maybelline feels a little thicker, but that may be good or bad depending on your preference. Since Maybelline is cheaper there is less regret when using it for highlighting and brightening since you are not spending as much money.
PRICE
aah, the big one. This should be the deal breaker for most. Nars ranges at about $29 at most stores. Maybelline retails at $5-$7, usually $5.99. That's right. these are pretty similar, so your choice is if you want to bu the high end or drug store version. plain and simple. high end will always be better, but your choice if its worth 25 dollars more. hope this helped!

MAKE UP TIP #1- Your face Shouldn't Be All One Color.
If you look at your natural face, it's all sorts of different colors, whether you like it or not. While maybe you try to hide redness or dark spots, a different colored face is the most natural looking. I used to make the mistake of using concealer and nothing else (I don't wear foundation) and it did NOT look good. So wear some blush on your cheeks, bronzer to darken your face, and enhance those natural features you were born with. Even use less concealer or a lighter coverage foundation. Or, go full on NATURAL! I'll make another post about how to keep you face flawless without wearing make up. Just remember, your face is not just one shade.
